I know sometimes we look at the clock and we want to get home but when my daughter and i arrived to your store and all the sales lady could say is you have 6 mins because i have to go is rude! my daughter saves her money to purchase from your store you all could a least give her enough time to pick a pet and not be so rude about the time! She was so crushed when she couldnt make up her mind and you kept reminding her of the time- so we left and went to JC Pennys and know what we bought 5 webkins not 1! Sorry you lost our Business!

I just found your site--how wonderfully informative! Can you tell me more about the Faith and Friends dolls? Are they like a Barbie in build? or an actual doll? Also, have you had your hands on a P31 doll? I am curious as to their quality. I would appreciate any insight you could give. Thanks

I have a Madame Alexander pin with the name Yvonne on it from a doll that I once had. I think it was named for a Dione Quintuplet doll. Does anyone know any history of it. It would be from the late 30's, early 40's. Would love to get the doll also.

Hi... I just read your article on the internet about Michael Lee. I bought three of his dolls last night at an auction.. mom, dad and baby... dad has a long white mustache.. could be grandpa ... and is in good condition... mom is missing part of a limb as is baby... I have never seen his dolls before and I love them... I can make up my own stories about them .. they are worn, but lovely.

I read your article about husbands, selling dolls and Ebay. I laughed out loud! About 22 years ago, my husband very nearly became my ex-fiance because of dolls. We went to an antique show in La Jolla, CA where I was happily looking over some Madame Alexander dolls. My husband came over and started looking as well. When he saw the price on them his eyes got very wide and then he tracked down the owner to interrogate her about these dolls. I thought "how nice. He's taken an interest in my hobby." As we left the show, he was so excited and talked non-stop about the dolls. Then he said these fateful words "WE could get so much money for the Madame Alexanders!" I stopped in my tracks, gave him a level stare and told him "MY Madame Alexanders are mine. Not "ours". I have had those dolls since I was 10 years old and my daddy gave them to me." He couldn't sseem to get it through his bachelor head that his soon to be ex or wife (his choice, depending on how he handled the doll argument) was not going to fork over her beloved doll collection, just so he could brag about how he made so much money on selling dolls. I had to nip that notion in the bud, real quick, fast and in a hurry. He backed off when he realized that I could replace a fiance alot quicker than I could replace those dolls. Needless to say, they still grace my shelves, 22 years later.

I love the Red Hat Madame Alexander Dolls. I also love the Marie Osmond Dolls and wanted to know if she could make the Red Hat Dolls? I would buy quite a few of them. Both of these brand names are beautiful and classy dolls. Also, in the Red Hat Society, over 50 clothing is red hat and purple clothing, and under 50 the girls wear lavender clothing and a pink hat. Could these dolls please be made? Thanks a Lot

hi, just wanted to share a special story with you---i am 50 years old. i have two daughters , they are 25 yrs. old and 13 years old. we were very close to my mother and she passed away in oct.. she always gave my daughters madame alex. dolls for christmas every year. my oldest daughter , elizabeth, lives in new york city. she thought we should continue the madame alex. tradition my mother set in place. i agreed completely. she went to fao schwartz to look at the dolls and saw the "practice makes perfect" madame alex. doll. she thought this would be great for her sister because she plays the viola and is first chair in our county. my mother was very musical and therefore it was the perfect gift for my youngest. i ordered it from you a couple of weeks ago on ebay, because i was having a hard time finding this doll. on wed. i was really having a hard time dealing with my mother's death and the christmas season. i asked her to please send me a sign that she was still with us spiritually, as we had talked of this before her death. i asked her to please send me signs when i really needed them. today i received the "practice makes perfect" doll. it was in perfect order. i was so excited to receive it and promptly opened it. before i wrapped her i was admiring her and looked at the tag on her arm, it was not the right tag for this doll---it was better--it was the tag for the doll, "love notes from grandma", it was a direct sign from my mother that she was indeed with us now and always. i went to my knees and thanked god for this affirmation of faith she sent. i thought you needed to know the huge part you played in this meaningful synchronicity of our lives. we are so blessed by this event. what a christmas present!! thank you for your unknowing part of our gift. god always works in mysterious ways. never doubt him! merry christmas! love susan usry

I have a baby doll from the 1950's. It has Madame Alexander on the neck. It is a new born baby with painted squinty eyes (needs new paint). She also has vinyl arms, legs and head with molded hair. I recieved her as a christmas gift when I was a little girl and I played and played with her. I can't find this doll's picture anywhere. I treasure this doll. I must have been about 6 - 7 when she was give to me and I don't even know if she was new. My aunt was al the time getting things from thrift store to give to us neices. So she could be between 47 - 50 + years old. Anybody have any ideas?

I found the Cabbage Patch doll that I bought in 1979 in the attic. She is a baldie, in perfect condition. I bought her at a store in Gatlinburg Tenn where Mr. Xaiver Roberts was making and signing the dolls.(if I remember right it was a special Babyland General weekend )It is signed with his name and '79 on her bottom. What should I expect to see as a price for a doll like this?I remember so plainly paying $125.00 for her which at the time was ALOT for a doll. If I wanted one with hair it was $150.00, so I chose a baldie!!! Thank you for this reply.

I had a Ginney doll in 1954, but it was taken to dump by my stepfather when we moved from Spokane to Oregon in 1960. I will never forgive him for that. But I got a new one from my husband and children in 1980. Unfortunately my granddaughter sneaked all her clothes home and they were all lost. I need to make this poor naked dolly some clothes or find a source Can someone help me find a clothes source? I have some patterns but they are very basic. My email pagoforth@msn.com
